Exploring the impact of COVID-19 on the Indian public health system

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of families and communities, posed extraordinary challenges for the health system and created an unprecedented need for public information, education and behaviour change. To address these challenges, USAID funded partners in India have been developing a range of social and behaviour change communication materials to address public awareness gaps and help people learn how they can protect themselves, their families and their communities from COVID-19.

Learning4impact is contributing to USAID’s COVID-19 response by generating and curating the best insights, materials and trends occurring in India and around the world. This relevant and timely information supports health experts and front-line responders by providing them with critical information and resources. It also helps to dispel some of the myths around COVID-19, providing accurate information to address the fear that all too often leads to stigma and discrimination.
