This Toolkit helps build the capacity of health workers at the primary and secondary health centers to address and manage TB in children. It contains 10 modules, including, epidemiology of childhood TB, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, community-based management, and evaluation. The training is geared towards four primary goals:
1. Increase case-finding of child TB cases in the community;
2. Improve the management of children with TB;
3. Increase the implementation of child contact screening and preventive therapy; and
4. Provide accurate data of child TB for National Tuberculosis Control Programs (NTPs) for purposes of monitoring and evaluation.
