Guidelines for Maternal and Girl Child Health

The Government of India launched the Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao program to encourage citizens to protect the girl child. These guidelines are a step towards establishing a conducive environment for girls and women under this program.  These guidelines emphasize the need for gram panchayats to focus on the girl child's health and development as well as on the mother's health. It also outlines strategies for creating such an environment in villages. It is a useful document for program implementers and ASHA Workers.  Click here to read the guidelines.
