Reproductive Empowerment Scale
Better reproductive health can be a critical tool for women's empowerment. The Reproductive Empowerment scale developed for women in Sub-Saharan Africa provides a method to measure this impact on empowerment, using reproductive health and fertility parameters.
Nutrition influences health outcomes throughout the life course and for a number of diseases. The new paper presents evidence on India's disease burden due to malnutrition, trends in nutrition at the state level, and projections for 2030.
Multi-Sectoral Framework for Tuberculosis Free India
Engaging communities, private sector and civil society partners is key to eliminating TB in India. Supported by USAID through the Challenge TB project, the Framework for Multi-Sectoral Action provides a guide for policymakers and a call-to-action for stakeholders towards integrated action for TB elimination.
COVID-19 has disproportionately affected women's economic participation, widening the gender gap in India. A new initiative by USAID/India and SEWA Bharat will help women to re-enter or stay in the workforce through skill-building, resources, mentorship and networks.
India's HIV program was recognised globally for the political will, commitment and urgency with which it dealt with the emerging crisis.
