The Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) is a series of initiatives intended to prevent and reduce the number of people who die from dehydration brought on by diarrhoea throughout all States and UTs. The guidelines listed a set of activities such as intensification of advocacy & awareness generation activities for diarrhoea management, strengthening service provision for diarrhoea case management, the establishment of ORS-Zinc corners, prepositioning of ORS by ASHA to households with under-five children and awareness generation activities for sanitation & hygiene, which would all lead to improved health among those who are most vulnerable.
